Bio

Alyssa Freitas is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist who utilizes video and sonic elements. Their construction of space explores the influx of digital culture into contemporary life. They have shown internationally, online and offline. Their work breaks conventional ideas of an art space by being showcased in various formats including outdoor projection, web installation, Minecraft rendering, and a Livestream in a miniature gallery. They have worked in art non-profits as The Manager of the Chautauqua Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution, The Event Coordinator at Smack Mellon, and has been an honorary Juror for institutions such as Franconia Sculpture Park and ApexArt.

Freitas' received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Maine College of Art and Master of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts.
